International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) is a non-profit voluntary organization founded in 1993. This medical association of over 700 physicians worldwide is dedicated to the advancement of the art and science of hair restoration.

American Hair Loss Association is a national, non-profit membership organization dedicated to educating the public, healthcare professionals, mainstream media and legislators about hair loss. The American Hair Loss Association is guided by its Board of Directors and Scientific Advisory Board with a focus on promoting public awareness of hair loss, encouraging the scientific advancement of its treatment, and assisting men and women find the appropriate treatments. It has been spearheaded by its founder and president Spencer Kobren. AHLA members are hair restoration physicians who are dedicated to treating hair loss and who are members of the International Alliance of Hair Restoration Surgeons (IAHRS).
